We were welcomed in such a friendly, warm way that we felt at home straight away. They let us store our bicycles before we went upstairs. The room was spotless and well cared for, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. The food was another highlight, delicious, nicely presented, and clearly made with care. A wonderful stay for service, comfort, and quality. We’d gladly return and recommend this hotel.

The continental breakfast was good and included in the price. They bring your own plate of cheeses and meats to the table, which is a nice touch. The room was clean, the bed very comfy, and the staff were welcoming and genuinely keen to help. Great value and highly recommended.

The staff were very helpful, and the food was lovely. My room was nice and clean, though the decor could use an update.

We had burgers, cooked brilliantly, and really enjoyed them. Unlike so many places, they weren’t giant towers you had to unhinge your jaw to eat. It’s a lovely place with friendly, welcoming staff, and I’d recommend booking a table since it seemed busy. We came for a meal, not a room, as I live locally and didn’t stay.

We popped in for a quick pint, checked the menu, then came back for dinner. The prawns, fish and chips, and highland crumble were all tasty, with good portions, and our waitress was great. We left full and happy. I’d recommend it, but check the evening meal times against your arrival, as the kitchen closes earlier than you might expect.
