My room was really nice, and the cooked breakfast was included in the rate. I hadn't realised there was a bowling alley when I booked, but the noise wasn't too bad. The corridors could do with a refresh.
I had a quiet, comfortable stay and slept really well, which is unusual for me as I'm a notoriously bad sleeper. It was clean and had everything I needed for the modest price, and I was glad to get a small double rather than a single. I'd known the place for years but had never stayed before, and it was very good value. Breakfast was really good and generous, with no complaints at all. They let me check in early, which was kind. The welcome at reception was pretty basic and lukewarm, though that suited me since I tend to keep to myself. I didn't try the evening menu or bar, which I regret a bit now. The TV had all the apps and things. Porth's reception is abysmal. I might stay in Newquay next time, though I love Porth and Whipsiderry beach. The weather kept changing, so I didn't get to either beach. All in all, a really nice stay, recommended.
We had a great time tenpin bowling. It's a lovely little alley, with less noise and fewer distractions for the kids.
We were camping, but with bad weather forecast we booked a night at the last minute to get out of it. It was a great little place, and £100 including breakfast was a bargain. I'd definitely stay again if I'm in the area.
