The warm pool was one of the highlights, and the staff were 10/10, friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout. We also had an amazing breakfast, with lots of choice and everything cooked really well. The Pentire Hotel was a great base for walking, with plenty of scenic routes nearby for exploring the coastline. Our bank holiday weekend made for a lovely little getaway. The main drawbacks were hearing the neighbour's TV quite clearly because the rooms aren't very soundproof, which made it harder to fall asleep, and the £10 parking charge, which felt unnecessary. It would be great if parking were included in the price. These were minor issues in an otherwise enjoyable stay. I'd consider coming back and recommend it to anyone after a relaxing break in Newquay.

The bar and lounge were really comfortable, and we had fun with the pool table and table tennis. I love table tennis now. The pool area was warm, while the water itself was a nice cool temperature. My family and I had two separate rooms, both great, with complimentary coffee, tea, milk and biscoff lotus biscuits. We had a great time and appreciated the hospitality. I didn't have the buffet breakfast, though it looked amazing 😢. There's also a restaurant called the sixty bistro. Fistral beach is a 10-minute walk away. We'd 100% come again.

The cliff walks are only two minutes away and the views are amazing. Breakfast and the restaurant food are really good too. Before this stay I phoned the hotel a few times to ask about room prices, and each time someone answered, I could hear how positive and happy the staff were. LIZ was supportive when I spoke to her about needing a break while looking after my mom with dementia. LISA(GM), SUE on reception, and JIM and MARK on the night shift were always glad to help. The restaurant and cleaning staff were great too, especially MICHELLE AND POOKI, who were great fun. I've travelled a lot in many countries, and the staff and setup at PENTIRE HOTEL are a rare find. It's been a wonderful stay, with that very special “nothing is a problem” attitude. GREAT TEAM! I've been looking for somewhere to stay longer term and think I've found my place. We got a family room for only £88. It was clean and warm, with tea, coffee, sugar, milk and Biscoff biscuits, plus excellent WiFi and TV signal. The warm indoor pool was excellent, and there were free towels and sunloungers in the pool area. We all had fun playing indoor table tennis too. For dinner in the bar, we had fish and chips, burgers and gluten-free pizza, all fantastic. The staff at the Pentire were welcoming, engaging and hardworking. We love this hotel and will definitely be back soon.

A swim in the gorgeous pool in the morning was a lovely bonus. We had a comfortable stay in a fantastic family room, super clean and spacious, with tea, coffee and decent biscuits. Everything you could need, done well.
