The landlord and landlady are really lovely. The rooms are warm, cosy and snug, and the hotel and pub are incredibly good value. The pub is cheap, serves great food, and I highly recommend it.

We stopped in for dinner and enjoyed it. The portions were big, the food was lovely and the prices reasonable. The staff were good and the atmosphere was nice, though the inside could do with a refresh.

The pub is stunning, cosy and full of character, and we sat by the fire. The food was amazing when I visited with friends a few weeks ago. I had the mussels and they were unbelievable, a must try. I can’t wait to go back this weekend for my son’s birthday.

The restaurant earned an extra star from me, the burgers were amazing. The rooms and bathroom were clean, and the towels were fresh. This isn’t a five star hotel, so don’t expect five star service, but for me everything was more than very good. My fiancé, who has allergies, did have an allergic reaction. We don’t know if it was because the place allows dogs, but that might have been the cause.
