The whole corridor smelled of sewage whenever repairs were attempted, and my neighbour’s room had the same problem. It’s clearly an issue with the building’s plumbing, not a tenant’s fault. In my bathroom, the drain was completely blocked. Staff immediately questioned me in a very unfriendly tone, accused me of flushing wipes, and warned I could be fined if it was my fault. They later said they couldn’t fix it themselves and had to call an outside company. That took one month. While I was waiting, they moved me to another room. But on the day the pipe was finally repaired, they demanded I move back straight away, even though I was due to check out in two days, and refused to let me stay one more night. The way they dealt with this was unprofessional and showed no basic respect for students. I strongly recommend that future tenants avoid living here. There are many better options in Nottingham.

I’m glad I chose to live at Newland house. My room is nice, and the shared spaces are always clean and tidy. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially Sonja.

The rooms are great and have amazing views. The staff are lovely, always say hello, and are happy to help. Millie, Harriet and Sonja are always helpful, and Cheryl is always really friendly.

I’ve lived here for six months, and the room has been good, with lovely views and new, functional facilities. The location is right in the city centre, so I’m surrounded by delicious restaurants and can get anywhere conveniently. The staff have made the experience incredible. They’re warm and dedicated, and whenever I ask for help, they’re willing to help in any circumstances. Chris and Samuel have helped me especially with all sorts of issues. I highly recommend this apartment and hope my review helps people make the right choice.

Staying in this accommodation was a nightmare, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. The rooms look nothing like the adverts and aren’t worth the monthly cost. There’s nowhere to get rid of rubbish except at the building’s main entrance, and the atmosphere throughout the building is hostile. The lifts don’t work, the radiators are poor, and the boiler only gives enough hot water for one shower a day.
