After I fell 70ft, I was hospitalised with my back broken in 14 places, 20 fractured ribs, a fractured pelvic bone and four lacerated internal organs. I was homeless at the time, and the hotel kept my television but threw all my other belongings away, including my identification and college certificates. I had been told they would keep my things while I was in hospital. Don't go here. I hope they get shut down.
The council placed my brother here when he became homeless, and he has mental health problems. I spoke with another person receiving mental health care, who said they'd seen many people with mental health and addiction problems leave here dead by ambulance. There were needles, blood-stained sheets and filth. This isn't somewhere to house vulnerable people, or anyone, for that matter. I wouldn't keep a dog there.
The room was okay and the price wasn't bad, but the area was grotty. There was no TV remote, soap or towels in the room. Most guests seemed to be people the city council had put up there after they were homeless, so you can guess what sort of people were staying.
For a budget stay, it's okay: close to town, with a choice of very nice takeaways, friendly reception staff, and a clean, tidy place. You get what you pay for.
The rooms in the house share across the road are very nice. The main building isn't as good, since it's old, and the staff are okay.
