The Cottage Hotel

I loved staying in my cottage. The bed was really comfy, the shower was large, and it looked out over a little garden that would be lovely in summer. The evening meal was hot and home cooked. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The only issue was the chill: the bar area was cold and the room wasn’t the warmest, and the portable heater didn’t seem to work. I’d still look forward to staying again.

The rooms are in a series of converted houses, which gives the hotel a really private feel. It’s super cute, and our room was clean and tidy, with tea and coffee available. It was a little small but not cramped. The staff we spoke to were all friendly, and the service was lovely. We didn’t eat breakfast or go to the bar because of our own schedule. There are plenty of pubs around in this lovely village-like area. We went into the city, which was only a 15-minute Uber ride away. Clifton Park and Ride tram stop is just a five-minute drive, handy for heading into the city the morning after checkout. Would stay again.

We spent three days at the Cottage for our wedding, arriving the day before and leaving the day after. Sue and her team had everything in hand, and nothing seemed like too much trouble. The wedding meal, evening meal, and breakfasts were all amazing, and the guests who stayed in the rooms found them clean and comfortable. The team had a lot to manage on the day, but they took care of what we needed with friendly smiles. Thanks to everyone for all the hard work and for making our wedding extra special. The Cottage is an ideal wedding venue, and we’d happily recommend it to anyone planning to get married. Thanks again, John & Julie Louden.

The bed was comfortable, the room beautifully clean, and breakfast was nice. It’s a lovely hotel with plenty of parking. We had a fabulous stay and look forward to coming back.
