The Houblon Inn

We didn't get the best weather, but on a warm day there's an outdoor kitchen where food and drinks can be prepared outside. The village was quiet, with no evening noise, though we didn't explore much. Each room has its own private hot tub, which was lovely for relaxing in during the evenings. We stayed a few nights, and the luxurious rooms had everything we needed, from an iron and hairdryer to a mini fridge stocked with alcohol, water and soft drinks. Breakfast was perfect, with amazing service, and the evening meals were out of this world. Five-star food, drinks and service, and generous portions. Thanks to Vicky, John and the other lady who served us breakfast. We had an amazing time and got to know you all well. We'll definitely be back!

The team made us feel welcome, and we slept really well after a great dinner. The evening meals were high quality, with a good choice across the three courses, and the staff were both friendly and professional. Our room was spacious, with a luxurious four poster bed, a great shower and a lovely hot tub.

The food was lush, and Sufiyan was especially welcoming. He made awesome cocktails to our choice and even brought our roast up to the room. Such a blessing to the establishment. There was a good selection, though not many dishes that we liked. The room was perfect, and the hot tub was clean and private. The staff also left a welcome bottle and petals on the bed for our anniversary, which was lovely. The host was really helpful on the phone and let me pay in instalments before the stay. They suggested a few places to visit for entertainment, and we weren't disappointed. The whole stay was amazing. We hope to come back, get our old room again and return for another lovely stay. We stayed a few weeks ago to spend some time together on what should have been our wedding day, and had a perfect visit. The food was outstanding, and so were the cocktails. Our room was beautiful and spacious, and having the adjoining hot tub made the trip extra special. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. I've already recommended The Houblon Arms to several friends and family members, and we'll most definitely return.
