The room was quiet, cozy and really comfortable, and the whole place was exceptionally clean. Janet and Steve made us feel so welcome, and were fun and accommodating throughout. Janet even worked around my gluten allergy at breakfast, which was delicious. Their coffee machine is the best in the world, do give it a try. They also went out of their way to suggest things to do and see, basically planning our trip for us. Can't recommend this place enough. I hope I get to come back one day.

We only stayed one night, but would happily come back. Janet gave us such a warm welcome when we arrived. The big king-size bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom was modern. Breakfast was included and lovely. Thanks to the staff for making the stay so comfortable.

We could get to Formby or Crosby beaches in about 20 minutes by car, and there was free parking on site. The Forge is the only dog-friendly room, and it worked perfectly for us, with its hard-wearing stone floor and a soft rug for our dog to play and nap on. Breakfast is included, cooked or continental. Continental is usually the option when staying with a dog, but because our room was close to the kitchen, they brought a cooked breakfast to us, along with an extra meaty treat for our four-legged friend. There’s a cozy lounge guests can use any time, with access through the smart lock by the entrance. It has an impressive coffee machine, pastries and syrups. The hosts were so welcoming, we’ll definitely be back 😁

We stayed overnight for a wedding nearby and felt right at home. The bedrooms and bathrooms were extraordinary, and both the service and breakfast were excellent. The two ladies looking after us kindly let us leave later than checkout time. We also had takeaway dinner in the common room. Would recommend 💯💯
