My beef bourguignon was the highlight of the evening, rich, tender and full of flavour. It's easily one of the best I've had so far. The other meals were just as well put together, and everything came out beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming, with friendly, attentive service that never felt rushed. A brilliant spot for hearty, well-cooked food in Ossett. Already looking forward to the next visit in Feb!

The steak and ale pie was the best I've had in a very long time, and the food overall was amazing. It's a great pub and hotel, with a lovely atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and breakfast and service were great too. If I'm in Dewsbury for work again, I'll definitely stay here. Much better than any corporate hotel. Highly recommend.

Went for a meal with my daughter this evening. The steak was the most tender I've had in years, and they could cater for all my annoying intolerances. Brilliant customer service, wonderful food and a lovely ambience. Would highly recommend.

The food was fabulous, from the Sea Bass and Lamb Shank to the Rhubarb crumble and custard. Lovely old world charm, and proper cooking with dishes made from scratch. None of those Iceland microwave jobs.🥰

Staff were so helpful without getting in the way. Thanks to Alice, George, Paddy and the team for a beautiful valentines. The belly pork was so good I didn't want to stop for breath. The last time I ate pork this good was in August 2024 in Segovia, world renowned for its pork.
