Milka's

Spent four nights here while working in Central Oxford and had a fantastic stay. The owners are so accommodating, nothing feels like too much trouble. There’s a bus stop outside and town is 10-15 minutes away. I’ll be back.

My mother stayed here while visiting me in Oxford. The room was very small and the water pressure was low, but the location made it decent value for money. Later, when I was cycling past and fixing a problem with my bike, I leaned it against the wall at Milka’s for support. A man came out with a barking dog, said he was the owner, and told me to leave. It felt needlessly intimidating. I won’t recommend the place again.

We weren’t guests, but asked if we could use their EV charger while we were in Oxford. They were incredibly friendly and helpful about it.

The mattress was especially important to me because I have a bad back, and it was supportive without being too hard. I slept really comfortably. The room was clean, cosy, and felt homey, and getting into the city centre by bus was easy. Milka’s gave wonderful service and made sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. On my first day of classes, I was running late because the ride I was waiting for never arrived. Petar, the owner, saw I was stuck and kindly offered to drive me himself, even though it was Sunday morning. I made it on time, and his kindness has stayed with me. I know a ride isn’t something to expect as part of the service, but I wanted to thank Petar for going so far out of his way. Thank you so, so much!
