The people working here were all lovely, but I wondered whether there just weren't enough staff or the right equipment. We asked for the room to be turned down and for fresh towels, but neither happened. Breakfast was also a problem: there were sausages and bacon, but little else because of a kitchen power cut, which didn't make much sense. The hotel could do with a good clean, especially a hoover. The little quarter it's in has nice facilities and feels safe and clean, and everyone was extremely pleasant.

We stayed Monday to Wednesday, the 23rd to 25th, and can't wait to come back. The rooms were clean, parking was free, and the location was fantastic for visiting Oxford. All the staff were lovely and friendly, and nothing was too much trouble. Special thanks to Raool and Duty Manager Kate, both really lovely and a credit to the Premier Team. If there's such a thing as a Reward & Recognition, they deserve it!

The food was delicious and served with a smile. We had a two-night stay over New Year, and the service was impeccable, with staff doing everything they could for us. The room was spotlessly clean and modern, with an amazing shower. This is one of the nicest Premier inn's we've stayed at. Thank you, we'll definitely book again.

The rooms are lovely, which is why I'm giving two stars. Breakfast was the worst experience I've had at a Premier Inn as a vegetarian, and I wouldn't recommend it. I politely asked for a vegetarian sausage, but the chef sighed and said they couldn't cook just one, they'd have to cook more. They made it very clear how inconvenient I was being, and I felt uncomfortable and embarrassed in front of the other guests, standing there as if I was being difficult. Then the chef told me, “you can't stand there”.

I've stayed at lots of these hotels, so this was disappointing. Staff were great, and I have no complaints about them. The first room had a bathroom full of mould, and after a shower the smell got stronger, so I had to move. The second room was a slight improvement, but still had a lingering mouldy smell. The pillows were the worst I've ever had at this chain, which used to be good.
