The Oxford Townhouse

We had a very small room and bed, which is why I’d suggest booking a larger room if you can. The rooms were recently renovated, clean throughout, and well presented, and breakfast was good quality. The location was good too, about a 15-minute walk from the town centre, or quicker by bus.

Breakfast had more choices than I expected from such a small place, and the staff were very nice. Room 2 is at the back, with contemporary decor, a larger-than-average bathroom, a safe, and a fridge. There were tea and coffee facilities and a nice pack of local biscuits, too. It's a very short walk into central Oxford. I stayed last night and was so glad I chose this place. I'd choose it again.

This converted townhouse is my regular place to stay in Oxford. Prices are reasonable and it's not far from town. Some rooms are on the main road, but the noise didn't keep me awake. Inside, the staff are amazing, and the rooms come with free drinks, local cookies, snacks, and chilled drinks in the fridge. Breakfast is included and fabulous, with plenty to choose from. I've tried most things on the menu and liked them all, from the locally sourced full English to porridge with different sauces, yogurt, pasties, and fruit. I can't recommend this place enough.

The staff are few at the moment, so nobody is available at reception, but everything's handled online and that was easy. Parking was straightforward too, using a code to get in. The rooms are beautifully finished to a high standard, with lots of breakfast choices. It's only a 15-minute walk to Oxford city centre.
