Wendy was a fantastic host, and there’s a lovely little stall outside where she sells cakes or flowers, depending on the season. The en-suite rooms are quaint and extremely well equipped, in a historic building in Padstow. The town and harbour are only 50-100 yards away, but the spot is just far enough from the centre to stay peaceful.

The guesthouse is so close to the harbour, making it an ideal base for exploring. Our room was comfortable and immaculately clean, and we loved walking into that lovely sweet pea scent. Wendy made us feel very welcome. We’d definitely stay again.

Wendy was a brilliant host, and our room was cleaned daily and kept spotless. The bed and pillows were some of the comfiest we’ve ever had. There was plenty of information in the room about places to eat. You can’t eat in the room, but there is a dining area downstairs. We didn’t use it, as we were busy enjoying the sunshine at the harbour and trying local restaurants and bars. Highly recommend this guest house.

We came for Rick Steins cooking school, but found lots more to enjoy in Padstow. Bin Two wine bar, prawn on the lawn, London Inn, and Cherry Blossom for breakfast this morning were the places that stood out. At Cyntwell, we had a really comfortable stay and lovely hospitality, with lots of local information, tea and coffee in the room, and fresh milk brought up. Thank you for having us!
