We felt pampered the whole time during our Christmas-to-New-Year night in the Honeycomb Suite, which included dinner at No 6. A sticky fudge pudding was waiting when we arrived, and brownies and water were left in our car for the journey home. It was a superb, memorable stay from start to finish. We’ll be back!

I’m almost reluctant to say how good this place is, because then everyone might book it and I won’t get to return. The room hamper breakfast was fit for a king, with delicious fresh fish, pastries and eggs. We had comfy beds, hot baths and hot chocolate late at night, and the service was amazing from the moment we arrived. It’s all the little touches that take exceptional to astonishing. Our weekend felt magical and we were completely cosseted. So ignore this almost-six-star review and find somewhere else. I might not want to stay anywhere but this Padstow gem ever again, but I do want to come back again and again.

Those treats were delicious, and that hot chocolate! The friendly service and room made the whole stay feel special. The Townhouse staff also adapted the breakfast and treats with no fuss for my pregnant wife. They really delivered from start to finish.

The bed was comfortable, and after a great night's sleep we had a huge breakfast delivered to the room. The room itself was excellent, with a roll-top bath and toiletries. We were greeted at the parking space, then shown the room and honesty bar. There are wellies and games you can borrow too. Sticky toffee puddings with clotted cream were waiting as a welcome treat, and a chauffeur-driven car was available to take us to no6. After dinner, we were met back at the property with a flask of indulgent hot chocolate and a huge marshmallow. Every detail felt pampering and special. A high-end hotel, perfect and luxurious in every way.

On Sunday morning we heard the nearby church bells, walked down to the harbor and had a fantastic meal at Caffe Rojano. The ocean views from the bluff were incredible. Padstow Townhouse was the highlight of our Cornwall trip. The well-appointed B&B has an amazing suite, an exceptionally clean room with modern fixtures and a clawfoot tub, phenomenal staff and a breakfast hamper. You will not be disappointed.
