Breakfast was delicious, cooked to order and served beautifully. Our room and the rest of the accommodation were spotless and nicely furnished, with comfortable beds. Steve and Dawn were excellent hosts, nothing was too much trouble. A perfect little break away from home, thank you both.

That hill is the one drawback for me. Walking down is easy, but coming back up could be a struggle, so a taxi is a good idea. Apart from that, it's always an enjoyable stay at Birchwood House. The rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is very good with options for different needs, and the owners are so welcoming. I highly recommend it.

The room was spacious, very clean and had its own bathroom, and there are family rooms too. Dawn and Steve made us feel welcome straight away, and the tray of tea was lovely after a long journey. Breakfast was cooked just right, with plenty of choice, and special diets were no problem. I miss this hotel and can't wait to book again for next year. Xx

We were just a five minute walk from the beach and some lovely restaurants, which made the location fantastic. Breakfast was delicious, and our hosts were such lovely, personable people. We had a wonderful stay at Birchwood House and couldn't recommend it more. We'll be back! 😊😊

July 2021. The breakfast was lovely and made with good quality food, no supermarket own brands here 👍. The couple who run the place were really nice and welcoming, and everything was immaculately clean and tidy. A great place to stay.
