The Tower Apartment was lovely, and the house sits on a pretty, quiet side street in a secluded and beautiful setting. But I didn't enjoy my stay. The heat wasn't adequate, and when I mentioned it, the owners weren't gracious about the feedback. I was asked to come and go through the service entrance, so it was clear the front door wasn't for me. The gravel on the drive also ruined my shoes, and the outside door's key and lock were awkward to use. A modern deadbolt and key might be worth considering. The conversation with the owners became unpleasant, and they asked me to leave. It felt like a knee-jerk reaction, and I had to apologize so I could finish my visit, since leaving would've disrupted my plans. Some B&B owners seem to resent having guests in their home. Maybe they don't fully realize what running such a place involves when they buy a fine manor or mansion, and visitors make it less convenient.
