The room code was still exactly the same when I booked the same room again five months later, which left me worried about security and guest privacy. I also found the hotel remote, with rooms reached by outdoor corridors, and no nearby shops or conveniences. Road noise went on constantly and made sleeping difficult. At night I saw what looked like concerning activity in the parking lot, including people using drugs, and the setting felt particularly unsafe for female guests. The carpets were dirty and cleanliness overall was very poor. Based on my experience, there was no privacy, no hygiene, and little professionalism. The property already seemed to have a problematic reputation, and my stay fit that impression. I strongly advise against booking it.

The only halfway decent part was the coffee, though the kettle looked as if it had never been cleaned. The carpet stank, insects were crawling around, and road noise carried on all night. Everything was on the ground floor, and the place felt like it was in the middle of nowhere, with no comfort or cleanliness. It wasn’t worth £45. For that price in this area, Ramada or Travelodge would be a much better choice. I wouldn’t stay here again. Unless you fancy wasting your money, save yourself the trouble and look elsewhere.

Breakfast was a long wait. We’d booked for 9.15 am, but waited 20 minutes for tea, which arrived cold, then another 40 minutes for a very cold cooked breakfast. There was only one staff member trying to do everything, including cooking, because the chef hadn’t turned up. When we returned at 10.15 pm, the hotel was locked. We hadn’t been given any late entry details when we checked in, and there was no message on the locked front door. Eventually we found a way in at the back, through an extremely dark, unlit rear car park.

I didn’t feel safe sleeping there. Strangers were roaming around and shouting all night, and I didn’t see a single staff member overnight. The room smelled of mold and the bathroom floor was sticky. It felt like a health hazard, so I left after an hour. This hotel should be shut down.
