The rooms were comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Just a note, this is now B&B accommodation only, not a tearoom. When our cycling group arrived exhausted on a scorching day, our backup vehicle had broken down, leaving my companions without their planned lift to another place to stay. Yoshi welcomed everyone warmly, offered them coffee in the quaint courtyard while they made calls, and even had a spare room available at short notice.

Pateley Bridge is lovely, and it makes a great base for exploring. Our clean, comfortable room was in a very old building with thick stone walls and its own entrance. The hosts were the real highlight, so warm and fun, and they can arrange a very good dinner at a great price. Can't wait to return.

The owners really look after you here. They're courteous, kind, remember your names, and seem ready to help with anything. Breakfast was excellent, served whenever we chose, and they offered extra items too. The shop also has a lovely range of cakes and scones for afternoon tea. The place has a quirky vintage feel with Japanese touches. A small staircase leads from the tea rooms up to the guest rooms, passing the owners' living area halfway up. The two family rooms share spacious, very clean bathrooms rather than having ensuites, and the bathrooms have everything you need. Rooms are well presented, with tea and coffee, TVs, and free Wi-Fi. The beds are futon style, so they're firm rather than spring mattresses. If you're not used to that, you might struggle. My only real gripe was having just one pillow. It wasn't enough, and I had a sore neck for the next two days.

We came with a touring cycling group and Yoshi gave us such a warm welcome. The lads felt right at home. The accommodation is quirky but seriously comfortable, and the food was amazing. Well worth a visit.

We were left very upset and disappointed. We had arranged our booking and its terms with the hosts in advance by email, so we had the agreement in writing. We explained that six of us would use the accommodation only to change clothes before a local wedding, with nobody staying overnight, and that we'd leave after a few hours. I said I would cancel and look elsewhere if that wasn't allowed, and they replied that it was fine. On the day, they changed their minds, leaving other family members without a hotel room. The male host hung up while I was asking for directions. They kept saying we were changing our plans, though we had only made two requests, both agreed in advance. They wanted us to cancel when we arrived, which wasn't possible with my 1.5-year-old daughter. Only after we pointed to their email saying they were happy with the arrangement did they let two people and the child in. My 80-year-old grandmother then had to make last-minute alternative arrangements. The hosts were rude and very unprofessional throughout.
