I’ve lived in England for 13 years and never had such an aggressive, rude experience in a pub. My friends and I sat outside with drinks we’d bought at the bar, deliberately leaving the indoor tables free. A blonde staff member came out shouting that we were rude for sitting there and eating our own food. We apologised and explained we’d bought drinks, but she stayed hostile, poured them into plastic cups without asking, and told us to leave. A polite request to put the food away or move would have been completely fine. Paying customers deserve basic respect. I’d strongly advise others to avoid this place. Businesses that treat customers this way don’t deserve any support.

We really appreciated the lovely lunches, including three ploughman's lunches, and the two scones. Thanks to the manager's son and the chef for the food and service.

The Crown made our family dinner in Pateley Bridge such a good one. The food was delicious and we all left happy. The service was fantastic, warm and friendly, and they happily accommodated allergies, children and dogs with a big smile. We only wish we’d had longer to eat here again, and would definitely recommend it.

We were staying at Curlew Cabin for a little getaway and visited on Tuesday evening. The staff were so accommodating when I called and got us in straight away. Food was absolutely delicious and the service was really quick. Nikki was amazing, a real credit to the team. Thanks for such a lovely time ♥️

We dropped in for a drink twice over the weekend and enjoyed the cosy atmosphere. On Sunday, a friend joined us, and everyone made us feel welcome even with our three wet Labradors. A very kind woman taking our food order gave me some blue roll to dry them off a bit. They were also flexible with Sunday lunch, letting our friends go off piste and order soup and chips, which they said was delicious.
