I stayed here on my own with my toddler, and every member of staff was helpful and accommodating. The food was amazing, and the manager and team made us feel so welcome. I couldn’t fault a thing and will definitely be back, hopefully soon.

After a filling roast, Finn asked if I wanted dessert and impressed me by reciting every option from memory. I went for the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, which was just right after lunch. The staff were fantastic and the atmosphere was lovely. I highly recommend the restaurant and pub. West really is best. The roast itself was excellent: rich gravy, a big Yorkshire pudding, crisp potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and beef, turkey and pork. Myles the chef got it all just right, and I cleared every last drop of gravy from my plate. I chose the triple meat without looking at a menu, with a Reverend James ale to drink. Finn brought the meal about fifteen minutes later and was engaging and professional. I’d spent three hours hiking the Welsh coast after starting in Newquay and driving on to Mwnt, Aberporth and Tresaith. It was a very blustery St. David’s Day, and I needed some fresh air and food. The beach was deserted, making this an ideal spot for a roast. Sean and Finn behind the bar welcomed me as soon as I came in. There were free tables with panoramic beach views, but I chose one at the back because I didn’t want to mingle while eating.

Our dog enjoyed the sausages they brought for him, and the pub is very pet friendly. Everyone in our group loved the beautifully presented meal, all cooked perfectly. The waitress gave us excellent service, and the staff welcomed us warmly when we arrived for lunch and sat us at a table with a lovely sea view. The Ship Inn is right on the seafront in the picturesque village of Tresaith. It was a perfect lunch and our first visit won’t be our last. Highly recommend this lovely pub.

We had a wonderful stay and the view was stunning, especially at sunset. The food was incredible: the lamb duo was a treat, with an amazing pie and perfectly cooked rump, and the apple and cherry crumble with custard was gorgeous. There’s a great choice of drinks and a relaxing sofa area with board games for after dinner. The service was fantastic. Hayley, Finn and Leah deserve a special mention for making our experience extra special. It’s dog friendly too, and our dogs loved the beach. We highly recommend it and can’t wait to return.
