Our rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, and the spa was spotless, easy to find your way around, and relaxing without feeling crowded. The food was enjoyable at breakfast, lunch and dinner, with plenty of choice. We all loved the sticky toffee pudding. We came to North Lakes Hotel & Spa in Penrith for a ladies’ weekend and a friend’s milestone birthday. From booking through check-out, the staff were warm and professional. Hannah from the Events Team deserves a special mention for arranging accommodation to suit us, spa treatments and pre-booked dinners so smoothly. Her care made the weekend memorable. We had a wonderful time and would happily return for another relaxing break.

The room was comfortable, the food was good, and I loved the beetroot salad. The communal areas had a nice laid-back feel, and the staff were cheerful and helpful. I didn't use the spa, though it looked good from the windows. My one complaint is the shower, the pressure was really low and could be much better. Everything else gets an A to A+ from me.

Sunny gave us such a warm welcome, and it was lovely to be greeted again on my way back down south. The staff were also kind enough to store our bike safely overnight, which I really appreciated. It was our first visit to North Lakes Hotel & Spa, and the place felt friendly and beautiful, with a great theme. The food was amazing, and the rooms, beds and pillow choices made for a very comfortable night's sleep. I only wish I'd brought my swimming costume!

Cora-Leigh was lovely and professional at Reception, our first contact with the hotel. The room was beautiful, and I really enjoyed the spa treatment, especially the body exfoliation and express facial. It felt like I was being treated for hours! Dinner at FYR was delicious, and our waitress with the funky hair was so helpful. We wanted to stay longer, but we'll definitely be back.

The restaurant food and service were great, and breakfast was lovely too. But the room let us down. It wasn't clean, and the toilet was dirty. After I raised it, someone came to clean and we were given a drinks voucher, though we felt more should have been done, especially as we were there for a birthday. I'd recommend visiting for the restaurant, but unfortunately not staying overnight.
