Jade at reception was brilliant. I’d forgotten to request a ground floor room for an elderly relative with mobility issues, but she found us an accessible room near reception. One suggestion for Head Office: could accessible rooms have a shower instead of a bath, especially since our upstairs room only had a shower? We were visiting to see my relative’s grandchildren perform in a competition. The Premier Inn is ideally placed just off the M42, and it was quiet with a good breakfast.

The hotel and rooms were excellent, clean, tidy, and very well appointed. The staff gave fantastic service and took great care of my elderly mum when she visited us over Christmas, making sure she was warm, safe, and had everything she needed. I can’t fault the place. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Thanks to everyone at the hotel.

I come here every year for a week of work during the NEC motorhome show. The rooms are always immaculate, the food is always perfect, and the staff are friendly. I’m especially leaving a note about the young lad serving dinner this evening (16/02/26), who was polite and worked really hard to get everyone served. Fair play.

Most of the staff were brilliant and went the extra mile, though they seemed stretched and busy. Still, this was the worst Premier Inn I’ve stayed at, and I wouldn’t return. It looked neglected, almost closed down. We booked two rooms but were put at opposite ends of the hotel, and both were freezing, taking ages to warm up. The TVs looked like they’d been nailed to pieces of MDF. Each room had only one towel, but staff brought extras when we asked. There were no spare pillows at night, so I opened the extra bedding bag, presumably for the junior bed, and found a filthy quilt. The carpets were filthy and covered in plaster dust throughout our stay. The bread was already as hard as toast before it went in the toaster, not sure how old it was, and the glasses by the fresh juices were stuck to an old tray. The cooked breakfast wasn’t great and took a while to arrive. One staff member behind the bar was a bit grumpy. Very poor, and I wouldn’t go again.
