We were very unhappy to be turned away from the restaurant because we weren't guests at the Primer Inn. It looks like a pub or restaurant on the same grounds, though it's not attached to The Primer Inn, and most Primer Inns let non-residents eat in theirs. The place was fairly large and almost empty when we arrived. Even if guests hadn't booked yet, I can't imagine they needed every table. They wouldn't accept bookings unless you were staying there.

The hotel is in an excellent position for travel, and check-in was great, with friendly staff. But the room smelled damp and musty, even with the window open and fan running. I could hear every movement from the bedroom above all night, and the bedroom and fittings were showing their age. I didn't complain because it was very busy and I was only staying overnight. It's very outdated and needs an upgrade. I work in hotels and know this needs investment.

We've stayed here so many times that the staff started recognising us by name. That's part of why we love this particular Premier Inn, they're so friendly and welcoming. The breakfast is always good, and the rooms are comfortable and tidy when we arrive.

The staff are friendly and the rooms are as expected, but I wish they had air conditioning. It can get quite warm even with the heating switched off. The restaurant is for guests only, and you have to book your table when you check in.

A terrible experience. In the first room, the bed linen hadn't been changed and was full of hairs and dirt. Nothing on the bed looked changed. The second room had more space and was better in some ways, but its bed was even dirtier, not properly set inside the frame and with lots of big hairs on the pillows. In the third room, the AC was set to 26.5 degrees Celsius, which was unbearable.
