The campsite’s location is excellent, with lots of nice beaches nearby by car. Praa Sands is only five minutes away, Lidl is a 10-minute drive, Penzance 15 minutes and the Lizard 25. We had a nice stay, and the staff were very friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. Facilities include a laundry room, free iron and board, free fridge and freezer, showers and toilets cleaned several times a day, a small park and a bar. Picnic benches cost £5 to hire for the stay, and a firepit with kindling is £12. My main gripes were the uneven ground, very close tent pitches, about a metre apart even with EHU, the insanely expensive laundry room and the shop’s limited, pricey supplies. Those little things did bug me, though not enough to spoil the stay. I probably wouldn’t go back. And in response to the owner’s feedback, that wasn’t me with the caravan. I had a tent within the pitch size limits.

We booked two extra nights by the end of our five-day stay at the start of August 19, and would’ve added another two if a storm hadn’t made us leave. We found it hard to go. The site was clean, tidy, peaceful and well kept, and everything met or exceeded our expectations. The owners were so friendly during booking that I was smiling after our phone call, and the welcoming feel continued when we arrived. Jackie and Richard were always there if we needed them, and my partner and I often talked about how kind and accommodating they were as we headed out to nearby beaches. The grass was cut regularly at considerate times, and the modern toilet and shower block was kept clean. The camp had a lovely atmosphere. Two beautiful, friendly dogs entertained campers without bothering anyone. There’s a children’s playground on site, plus a pub and garden centre cafe within walking distance. Nearby, there’s an old-style gas station run by an old man, with the cheapest diesel and petrol prices I’ve ever seen. Praa Sands, a beautiful long beach, isn’t far away, and picturesque Porthleven is down the road. It was convenient, good value, comfortable, clean and peaceful. The stars were great too. Bravo to the campsite, and thanks for a memorable stay. We couldn’t rate it higher and recommend it on every level. Best regards, C and g.

The staff’s welcome and service were beyond what I expected. They couldn’t have done more. Inside the glamping pod, I was blown away by the details, how clean it was and all the accessories. It had everything and more, and the bed was extremely comfortable. We slept amazingly, even with hail outside! The whole experience was amazing, with great service, location and facilities. I’d absolutely recommend this place and plan to book again for summer. Thank you to everyone involved.

We’ve just returned from a two-night break at Elysian Fields. The B&B was fantastic, with spotless, spacious, comfortable rooms and lovely holiday-style interiors throughout. Breakfast was great, with plenty of choice, and everyone we spoke to was friendly and helpful. Jackie, the owner, was especially nice to talk with. It’s a great base for exploring Cornwall, and I have no hesitation giving the B&B five stars. We also had a good look around the camping and caravanning facilities, the best I’ve ever seen. There’s plenty of space, the showers are like bathrooms at a very good hotel, and the on-site bar is great, with lots of room inside, plenty of outdoor tables and chairs, and some heated outdoor snugs. If I ever camp in Cornwall, this is where I’ll book.

The pitches are a good size and almost level, and the site is kept very clean and well run. The team were friendly and helpful, and the food was good, though the menu was small. Since I don't eat fish, I only found a couple of meals I could have. The one real problem was campers letting their dogs off lead, not the staff dogs. One camper had two dogs that barked at anything moving, even running across the field to our tent, barking and snapping. Still, we had a very good stay.
