The promenade location is a real plus, with sea views and the coastal breeze right outside. It’s easy to find and handy for exploring Penzance. Sophia’s has a relaxed, no-frills feel, and it’s well maintained. The rooms are clean and practical, warmly decorated, and have the essentials, including Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, and tea and coffee facilities. The staff were a highlight for me: knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. They were ready to help with questions and requests, and knew about local attractions and transport. Breakfast is served in a pleasant dining area with a range of options. There isn’t much dining beyond breakfast, but plenty of good restaurants and cafes are nearby. It’s a 3-star hotel rather than a luxury one, but it offers good value, comfort, and convenience. I’d recommend it for a relaxing, easy stay by the sea.

We had a wonderful stay over New Years. The rooms were fresh and very clean, and fresh milk was left each day for tea and coffee. Breakfast was delicious too. It’s within reach of everything, whether you’re walking or driving, and I’d definitely recommend it.

Lynn welcomed us with a big, warm smile. We got there early, and when we came back our bags had been taken to the rooms. They were well appointed, with a great view over the promenade. The bed was comfortable, and I slept better than I have in ages.

Lynn was a great host and clearly puts in a lot of effort to make sure guests enjoy their stay. The rooms were to a high standard, and breakfast was top quality, cooked to order. We really enjoyed our time here. Excellent value for money, and I’d recommend her B&B to anyone staying in Penzance, Cornwall.

Sophia is lovely, and the location is fantastic. My room was super cute, with a very comfortable bed, and breakfast was fresh and tasty. They even have gluten-free options. I had a lovely stay at Sophias and will be back!
