The house has plenty of room, even for a family of six, and the kitchen worked well for the roast we made. The open fires are great, with lots of wood and kindling left out even in summer. From every bedroom there are lovely, unobstructed sea views unless it's foggy, though the property is about a mile inland. The TV is decent, if that matters to you, and the Wi-Fi was surprisingly good, probably the best I've had in Cornwall. The youngsters appreciated that. We even managed to get a Just Eat delivery in rural Cornwall, which really surprised us. There's gated off-street parking, but the entrance is narrow. My small car fit, though anything bigger than a Ford focus might struggle. The beds are solid and the mattress is decent, but they're small, and the pillows are frankly atrocious. It was fine for the three of us because we could take all the other pillows. There's not really any outdoor space either. The place has storage heaters, and I wouldn't want to stay here in winter. You can use the open fires, but the bedrooms have very old heaters, and the bunk bed room has none. They make you hot at night, then are cold again by evening. I'd come back in summer without hesitation, but skip winter. Edit: we did return in colder autumn weather, and I still feel the same about the storage heaters. With both fires going, though, the whole house warms nicely, and the single regular radiator in the dining room does a stirling job of heating most of it on its own.
