The Lugger Inn

Last Sunday afternoon we had a brilliant, well-organised meal for 41 people, with a fabulous carvery. The three-course meal was top class, and the cherry cheesecake was the best I've ever tasted. Well worth a visit 😋.

I usually refuse to eat carveries because I hate them, but our group wanted one while visiting Cornwall on the way to lands end on Sunday. I'm so glad I went along instead of making a fuss. It was the nicest dinner I've had in a long time. The meat was cooked perfectly, there was a fantastic choice of sides, and the staff were brilliant. Thank you!

We came for an afternoon meal, not to stay at the hotel, and sat outside with two dogs. There was a good drinks selection, and everything we ordered was delicious. The 3/4lb burger was one of the best I've had, and the seafood salad and ham and cheese salad were delicious too. We visited on a quiet weekday outside school holidays, which suited us. Highly recommend.

The buffet breakfast was great, with the usual cooked choices like bacon, sausages and eggs, plus cereal and fruit. The staff I met were friendly, and the location right on the Penzance promenade is good. Rooms are clean and functional, with no frills. My only complaint was a lumpy mattress that could do with replacing. They provide basic shower gel, so bring your own shampoo. Good value, and I'd recommend it.
