What a small world! The owner opened the door to greet us and recognised James straight away. They’d both grown up in Whitburn, and it turned out his lovely sister, whom I’ve known for years, was there too. What are the chances? The place was spotless, comfortable and quiet, in an excellent location. Breakfast was delicious, thanks to Linda. We’ll be back xx

James is a fantastic host, extremely helpful and a great breakfast cook. The location is great, and both the beds and pillows were very comfortable. James and Paul went out of their way to make our stay fabulous. Highly recommend, and thank you both.

We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Woodlea Guest House. James welcomed us warmly again, and the room, toilet and shower were spotless. Breakfast was very good, especially James’s delicious homemade marmalade. It really feels like a home from home.

A really lovely BnB. The man who showed us to our room was kind and easy to chat with. The room has a proper authentic feel, and the WiFi is pretty fast!
