There was little or no A1 noise in our room, even though it was on the same side of the building. The soundproofing was outstanding. We had a comfortable, warm room with an excellent shower and a small bath, plus USB sockets by the bed. It’s extremely good value and very convenient on the A1. It’s southbound, but close to two junctions, so easy to reach from either direction. There’s a Starbucks next door and other shops a short drive away.

The building was modern, and my spacious room was comfortable and spotlessly clean. They were accommodating, and there was extra parking on site. I enjoyed the stay and slept well.

The rooms were clean and we slept well. Staff were friendly and even got in touch before we left to let us know we’d forgotten something in one of our rooms.

For work, this place is great. The rooms and showers are clean, and Sophie at the front desk deserves five stars. Try to get a room at the back: the field makes it easy to forget how close the hotel is to the A1. If you can’t get one at the back, you’ll need earplugs, though perhaps they could offer them. Even with double glazing, the highway noise comes through.
