The Good Intent

The meze bowl was beautifully balanced and full of flavour, and the chips were cooked just right. We’d gone to Petersfield to walk the dog by the local lake, got hungry, and spotted this pub listed as dog friendly. Very glad we stopped in. It’s a lovely little place, with a good choice of drinks. I was especially pleased to see non-alcoholic Asahi on the bar, which I’d never seen there before. The man running things as barman and waiter, presumably the Landlord, was kind, welcoming, and friendly. There was none of that feeling that it was a small pub only for locals. I chatted with a few regulars, and it seems much loved and well used by them, while still being a place where outsiders are warmly welcomed. We’re already looking forward to coming back to this little gem.
