Carra Beag Guest House

Mark and his wife made us feel so welcome and were happy to help with anything. The location is central but quiet, and after a walk there was a lovely piece of cake and a drink waiting. Breakfast was great too. Our top floor room had two single beds. I dragged my 19 year old son along to walk Ben Vrackie, and this was a perfect place to stay. We highly recommend it and will be back! We stayed here on the first night of my mother's 80th birthday tour of her homeland, which has taken us to several guest houses. They've all been lovely, but this one was far and away the best. The hosts were lovely, and the room, shared spaces and breakfast were all exceptional. They've got all the little things right. There's free parking and the location is very central too. Highly recommend, you'll struggle to find a better stay anywhere else.

Breakfast this morning was superb: porridge with honey and milk, then a full meal with locally sourced produce. The haggis was particularly tasty. Our room was immaculately clean and lovely and warm, and the beds were so comfortable. We had tea and coffee facilities and a small fridge. Downstairs, the lounge is welcoming, with chocolate cake and sherry to try. The guest house is right in the centre, just a short walk to the heart of Pitlochry. It was our first two-night stay, but we'll definitely return. All round, a fabulous place.

Mark and Helen made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. The rooms were super comfortable and had everything we needed, and the whole place was spotless. Breakfast was delicious, the service was amazing and there was plenty of banter. My husband, our dog, some friends and I had a fantastic two-night stay. Thanks for all your hard work and for such a lovely visit. We hope to come back, if you'll have us!
