Dalgreine makes a great base for exploring the Southern Highlands, with indoor and outdoor places to relax as well as the guest rooms. The breakfast was outstanding, made with local ingredients that were all full of flavour. My room was spacious and had everything I needed, the bed was lovely and comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water. It’s a quiet guest house with warm, welcoming hosts. I’d happily recommend it, and the breakfast alone is worth booking for.

A lovely Highland village setting, with Blair castle, the working water mill and the train station nearby. The guesthouse is beautiful, and my five-star room had everything thought of. Our affable host cooked delicious breakfasts and had helpful suggestions for places to eat and visit.

The Cairngorms and the beautiful surroundings of Blair Atholl are easy to explore from Dalgreine Guest House. I found it peaceful and welcoming, and would happily stay again on another Highlands trip. Breakfast was a highlight, freshly made with care and served with a smile. There was a good choice, whether you wanted a hearty Scottish meal or something lighter, and the ingredients were excellent. From arrival, I felt at home. The rooms were spotless, nicely decorated and thoughtfully furnished, and the attention to detail gave the whole house a cosy, relaxing feel.

We’ve already talked about coming back because we enjoyed ourselves so much. The owners were welcoming and helpful, while still leaving us to ourselves. Breakfast was fantastic, with lots of choice for vegetarians and vegans. It’s a lovely guesthouse on the edge of the Cairngorms, with stunning views from the rooms. Waking up to birds and cows in such a peaceful place was a treat. Thanks for a great stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here while hiking with Macs Adventure. It’s a great base for exploring the area, and if I lived closer, I’d definitely come more often.
