The harbour is such a peaceful spot to spend a few hours. Keep an eye out for dolphins, seals and lots of seabirds from the shore if you watch for a while. Pittenweem is a charming little village, and it's lovely to visit in any season. 😊

The walk down into the village was lovely, and there was good food around. We had great views from the car park, too. There’s a toilet there, though it was closed when we visited, maybe because it was Monday. We’ll probably come back soon. Worth a visit.
The old fishing cottages along the shore make for a really picturesque walk. There’s plenty to see in this beautiful place.
Pittenweem Harbour is my favourite of the East Neuk fishing villages, and they’re all worth a visit. It’s just as pretty as Crail, though it seems to show up in fewer photos.
Pittenweem still has a lot of character, like the other East Neuk coastal villages, and that’s a big part of its appeal. Fishing and tourism are the main trades now, and the harbour is home to the East Neuk’s last commercial fishing fleet. The town also made its living from coal and salt in the 1700s. The harbour itself is charming, with a working fleet, a sturdy pier topped by a small lighthouse, and attractive waterfront buildings. There’s parking around town and public toilets by the harbour. Nearby, you can visit St Fillan's Cave on Cove Wynd, explore the shops, cafés, restaurants and fish and chip shop, or walk the Fife Coastal Path towards St Monans or Anstruther.
