The manager was helpful with everything, even letting me do some laundry, and the other guests were friendly. Breakfast came on time every day and was cooked really well. I didn’t get to see all the sights in Plymouth, but Chesterhouse was a wonderful place to stay. I’d recommend it if you’re heading to plymouth. 10/10.
Andy Dot & Hazel made me feel welcome straight away, even though I arrived late and worn out from travelling. They’re fun, friendly people who go out of their way to help. Breakfast was nice each day, the place is handy for the station, and the price is great. Best b&b I’ve stayed at, don’t think twice!
We got locked in our room, but Andy and Dot made a laugh out of it. They replaced the lock and left a bottle of wine on the table while we were out. The room was spotless and the lounge comfortable. Breakfast seemed to involve a lot of reheating, so it’d be better if it were cooked fresh for each person. Still five stars from us, and we’ll be back, just not in an unpleasant Arnold Schwarzenegger way.
My ex partner was made homeless with our 2 month old child, so the city council arranged for them to stay there while they found a home. Today (05/10/16), the owners knocked and said they had to find somewhere else that night because the room was 'booked' for someone else. That’s really unfair and unacceptable before they’ve CHECKED OUT. My ex partner has anxiety and depression, and this has made it sky high and caused a huge amount of worry. The place may have nice features, but this was not okay.
Tim was polite, friendly and professional, and I had everything I needed. I felt really well looked after. Thank you!
