Elfordleigh

The room was easy to decorate just how we wanted, which made the afternoon feel personal and special. The team were really accommodating about letting us set everything up, and created a relaxed, celebratory atmosphere for the bride-to-be. I hosted an Afternoon Tea for a hen do at Elfordleigh Hotel, and the whole thing was perfect. Staff were attentive and went above and beyond to keep it running smoothly. The room hire and tea were very reasonably priced for the quality and service. The food looked beautiful, tasted great, and there was a good selection everyone enjoyed. A fantastic venue for a hen do. We’d recommend it and book again without hesitation.

We paid 300 pound for two nights, and the room felt outdated, with stains on the carpet, no internet or TV, and rock hard beds. We slept terribly. We’d booked at the last minute because our previous accommodation was awful, and we’d just got married and gone away for a couple of nights. The woman at the desk was pleasant. Our first room was tiny, and when the TV and internet didn't work, she moved us to a larger room. They still didn't work there, but by then we were exhausted. At checkout, she said we should have mentioned the wedding because they would have put us in a master suite. I explained that I had told the woman working, and she said, “Oh sorry, she was new.” I wouldn’t stay again.

The staff made the weekend even better. Every person we dealt with was warm, polite and friendly, and nothing seemed too much trouble. Thanks for a great time. We’ll be back. We’ve just had a brilliant weekend celebrating a 60th birthday. We used all the facilities: the spa was tranquil, the pool was great and the golf course beautiful. We spent most of the weekend in the bar, which had a great variety and cocktails. The food was great all weekend, including Sunday lunch for 26. Every meal was hot, which is unusual when serving so many people.

The rooms and atmosphere were lovely, but the customer service stood out even more. I accidentally left my handbag with all its contents behind, and the staff kindly sent it back to me by next day delivery. That was above and beyond. Thank you to the Hotel Front Office Manager and Daisy at the front desk for acting so quickly and providing incredible service.
