It's a rare place with that classic, genuinely welcoming kind of hospitality. The rooms were beautiful, light and clean, with high ceilings and everything you need, all kept simple and romantic. There was a full fry-up in the morning and unlimited coffee.

The old-fashioned look was really cute, and the price was good. I stayed one night in a clean room with a big TV, comfy bed, and a good breakfast.

The location worked well for us, about a five-minute walk to the Hoe or Theatre Royal. We came by train, so I can't say how easy parking is, though other guests had spaces right outside. Sally and Keith gave us a lovely, warm welcome. Our en-suite twin room was very spacious and beautifully furnished, with thoughtful extras like a safe, fan, hairdryer, tea and coffee, and even a face flannel. It was spotless throughout and the WiFi was great. I stayed one night with my teenage daughter in this lovely Victorian terraced townhouse.

The beach in Plymouth is really close. We had a nice room, lovely staff, and a lovely breakfast. Sally, Keith and the dog were great.

We've stayed at plenty of Plymouth B&Bs over the past 12 years, and this is one of the better ones. The rooms are especially spacious, with a large bed, and the staff are very friendly. Breakfast was good, everything worked well for us, and we'd probably stay again.
