Strathmore House Apartments

We loved staying here and made memories we’ll cherish. Strathmore Apartments is less than a two-minute walk from Plymouth Hoe, with the city’s main attractions within walking distance too. Our apartment was on the second floor, and the lift was handy. It was very well furnished, with all the modern facilities and amenities we expected and more. We booked a one-bedroom apartment at short notice in summer 2019 through Airbnb. The process was quick and easy, and a detailed email with all the booking information arrived soon after. Allison promptly confirmed our request for an infant cot and high chair. We were warmly greeted when we arrived, and Allison showed us around. She was lovely, asked about our plans and offered recommendations. I’d lived in Plymouth before, so we could bounce ideas around. I’d highly recommend Strathmore Apartments for a comfortable, convenient stay in Plymouth. No hotel comes close to this experience 👌🏻

This was our third stay in three months, so that says plenty about how comfortable we find Strathmore House Apartments and how much we like the location. Ally and Wendy make it special with such a warm welcome and great service. We’re already looking forward to coming back. 😄

We stayed five nights in Strathmore House Apartments and were so pleased we tried it after usually staying in B&Bs. Our second-floor apartment had a harbour view, high ceilings and plenty of room to spread out. There was a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and sitting area, plus a washing machine and everything else we needed. Terrific place and great value.

The location is fantastic, a stone’s throw from The Hoe, and the WiFi worked well. From the second-floor two-bedroom apartment’s kitchen diner, the bay window looked out to sea. The kitchen was well equipped. Inside, it was light and airy, with huge windows, tasteful modern furniture and decor, a really comfortable bed, a decent shower and lovely soft white towels. I booked directly with the owners two weeks ahead because it was the cheapest option I could find. Booking was easy, as was getting the keys. I’d recommend it highly, and my relatives who live locally will recommend it to their visitors too.
