The room was very clean and had a lovely harbour view, but the bar below and the road were extremely noisy. The heating stayed on and made it far too hot, with no air conditioning. Breakfast was dreadful, just a paper bag with oats and a banana left in the room before arrival.

A good pub for a beer at the end of the Barbican. It has a log fire, an old-fashioned feel and a good range of ales. I didn't try the food.

I spent two nights in room 3. It was clean, but that's the only nice thing I can say. The stool was broken, the bedside light didn't work, and the tap wouldn't shut off, so I listened to dripping water all night. The bathroom was ridiculously small, and even using the toilet was difficult. I wouldn't recommend it.

A great pub with a nice atmosphere and friendly people. It was busy, so getting a drink took quite a while, but with so few staff behind the bar, the wait was understandable.

We were there for a remembrance, and the place was packed. The bar staff kept working tirelessly to make sure our comrade got a good send-off.
