Yorkway Motel

The friendly service helped make the stay good. I didn’t have a meal there, but the room was very comfortable, with an excellent desk chair for working. The bed and pillows were sublime, and the large walk-in shower was excellent too. The only small drawback was the nearby road, which locals seem to use as a racetrack late at night, so some noise carried over.

Loraine (with one L) and Michelle were absolutely wonderful, and the barman's park-and-ride suggestion made getting into York a great idea. The room and bathroom were spotless, serviced daily, and finished to a very high standard. The hotel is fantastic and clearly kept to a high standard, with Michael, the pleasant owner, running a very tight ship. My metal detecting event was cancelled, but I kept the booking so I could visit York. I can't rate this place highly enough. I intend to come back next year if the event is rescheduled.

The rooms are superb for the money, and I'd definitely stay again. From the main road the motel looks a bit rough, but inside the main complex it's clean and well presented. A great little motel.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and breakfast came piping hot and was good. I stayed for two nights, and the room was spotless and comfortable. Would stay again.
