The Countryman Inn

We stayed here for a wedding nearby, and the location was handy for Cardiff. The rooms were comfortable, the showers hot, breakfast lovely, and the staff really friendly. After a long drive, it would’ve been nice to get a beer from the bar, but everything was closed by 9 on Saturday. Still a great place.

Martine and Tony gave us such a warm welcome and were helpful and courteous throughout. Our accommodation was beautiful and very clean, with a really comfortable bed. We only ate breakfast there, but it was delicious. The quiet, lovely surroundings were a treat. The only snag was the country lane, which felt a bit scary when a car came the other way. We had a lovely stay. Thank you, Martine and Tony!

My lovely partner booked us a surprise Valentine’s and anniversary getaway at The countryman, and we had a wonderful time. Roses and champagne were beautifully arranged as soon as we opened the door, and the room was gorgeous and so comfortable. The countryside was right outside, and in the morning all we could hear was birdsong. I felt my stress melt away. It feels tucked away, but there’s a town centre not too far off with takeaways, restaurants, supermarkets and other amenities. We didn’t have breakfast, but the owner was so nice that I’m sure it would be just as good as everything else. Thanks for having us. I’m already planning a return!

The room was just right, with Wi-Fi and a view across the fields and the geese. It’s a lovely place tucked away, and the staff were great. Breakfast was lovely too. I’d book again after such a good stay.
