The rooms are incredibly small, with no closet, mini fridge, or desk, and there was water sitting in the kettle when we first arrived. Everything else was clean, though, and the bed was comfy. The bathroom was very nice. I picked this place because it’s extremely close to the SEC. The staff were consistently friendly and helpful, even when I needed help contacting an after-hours dentist. If you don't know the Moxy style, the modern lobby and tiny rooms might surprise you. I’d stay here again if I needed to be at the SEC.

For a short stay, it could work, and I’d suggest soft luggage so you can slide it under the bed. The location is very good for Glasgow SEC, Ovo, the exhibition centre, and the train station. Staff and facilities feel hip, and the team were polite and helpful. The restaurant works well too. The rooms are small, with no cupboard or clothes storage. I’m 1.80m and 100kg, and the bathroom was so tiny I couldn’t lift my arms to wash my hair. The internet was painfully slow, only usable for light browsing. I was meant to work while touring, but couldn’t, which I suppose was good as I was on holiday. I wouldn’t recommend it for work or stays over three days, and I cancelled my other Moxy bookings on this trip because I was willing to pay more for a larger room and hopefully usable internet.

We were in town overnight for a concert at the OVO Hydro, and this room was ideal for one night, clean and modern. The staff were amazing, especially Kieran, Ava, Joseph, Safal and Dec at the bar. We’d absolutely stay again.

The room was bare bones basic, as the receptionist put it. There was no iron, safe, fridge, or proper place to hang clothes. The ironing room looked dirty, and with only three hangers, I wasn't sure where clothes were meant to go afterwards. The bar doesn't take cash, and breakfast was very poor. The location is inconvenient for the city, too. A woman working at reception and the bar was probably the rudest person I've ever encountered in customer service. She said the hotel is for young travellers who just want to drop their bags and go out, and suggested plenty of nicer hotels. This was the worst hotel I've had the misfortune to stay in. Maybe it would be acceptable at £20 a night.

The late checkout at noon was a real help after a concert night, and we didn't have to rush out early. We chose this place because we didn't want to deal with the car park after the show. It was reasonably priced, check-in was easy, and the hotel validated the parking behind it so the cost was cut in half. Our room had what we needed, the halls were tidy, and it stayed very quiet despite the busy crowd downstairs. The staff were friendly and helpful.
