We were really glad we found this hotel. The room was quiet and clean, the staff were friendly and professional, and breakfast was excellent. If you're driving to Glasgow, ask about the guest discount for the parking garage across the street. We'd stay here again.

The room was quiet and we felt safe in the hotel. It was a good base for our plans, within walking distance of the Kelvingrove area and city centre, and only a short walk from the station. Staff welcomed us warmly, explained the hotel, and gave us a map of the main area. Comfort was a problem throughout our stay. During a cold weekend, the room never settled at a comfortable temperature, even after a staff member showed us how to use the controls. Cold air kept circulating, and the bed wasn't comfortable either. We would have appreciated an extra blanket. We tried breakfast on our last morning, but the hot buffet had limited choice and some food was only warm, so it didn't feel worth the price. We've stayed at other Ibis hotels in London, Edinburgh and France. We enjoyed the city, but would find it hard to recommend this one.

The hotel has a pleasant design and made a good first impression, but several problems affected my stay. The air conditioning in my room didn't seem to work at all, even when switched on and adjusted. A manager came up after I reported it and offered a smaller room, saying the system might work better in a smaller space. That didn't fix the problem with the original room. The replacement room was below the category I'd booked and paid for. When I asked if another room of the same type was available, I was told the hotel was full. Later, I saw that this room category still appeared to be available on the hotel's booking system, which was confusing. The shower pressure was very weak, and part of the fixture looked damaged. These issues raised concerns about maintenance and whether the room had been checked before it was assigned. After a long day of travel, I wanted a comfortable, restful night, so this was disappointing. Staff did respond, but the way the situation was handled and explained could have felt more reassuring and empathetic. At check-out I said I hadn't been satisfied with the previous night, but nobody followed up or acknowledged it. That was a missed chance to address the concern or leave me with a better final impression. The hotel has potential and a good location, but room readiness, clear communication and a more empathetic response to guest concerns need attention.

I loved my stay. The location was convenient, the room comfortable, and the bathroom clean and nice. The air conditioning worked well, the WiFi was fast, and the staff were welcoming and cheerful. There were great amenities too. The only minor issue was some old spill marks on the carpet, which might be hard to get out. Nothing serious.

Breakfast had tasty food and a good range for a Scottish breakfast, and my companions and I left well fed. The trouble was finding a place to sit. There weren't many tables, and the ones that could fit our party were either occupied or dirty, with plates and cutlery still on them. I know it was a busy time, but one table for six had just one man at it, and another similar table had only two people. It would help if staff seated guests to prevent that. Check-out was easy, and I'd be happy to stay again. The rest of the stay went well. The woman who checked us in was helpful and offered good dinner suggestions when we asked. The room was clean, the shower pressure was decent, and the complimentary Tunnock's Tea cake was a nice touch. We didn't get enough towels, but that was quickly sorted.
