Kings Park Hotel

King’s Hostel gave me a room straight away after I arrived exhausted, cold and overwhelmed by a stressful, unexpected problem with my previous accommodation. The team showed real kindness and understanding from the start, and that simple help gave me a chance to rest. It meant more than I can say. The staff were professional, calm and supportive when I needed some stability and decency. My room was clean and comfortable, just what I needed to recover and feel safe again. This place is run by people with heart, not just providing a bed. Thank you for your warmth, flexibility and humanity. I’ll never forget it. Highly recommended.

The only decent part of our stay was the beds, which were okay. The room was dirty, with mold in the shower, and there wasn’t even toilet paper when we arrived. We had to ask for it, though basics like that should already be taken care of. There was no air conditioning, either, which made things even less comfortable. From the moment we arrived, the whole building smelled terrible. The staff were rude and didn’t greet us back. They looked at us in an angry, unfriendly way, and we felt unwelcome right away. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel and definitely wouldn’t stay again.

We booked months ahead, but arrived to a freezing room on a very cold night. At 10pm they confirmed the heating wasn’t working properly and gave us a small heater that couldn’t be left on overnight. There was no insulation, even though I was travelling with my elderly parents, and they offered no other compensation. The bathroom also looks dated and a bit sad. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it.

We held a community party for 200 people, and the event went really well from beginning to end. The management were great, and Sam, the head chef, went above and beyond to get the food and service right. The flavours were authentic, and every person who came enjoyed the event. I highly recommend the venue and its food.
