The new team has made the East Dart Inn into something special, and we'll definitely be back soon. My friend and I stopped by today and were warmly greeted as soon as we came in. One of the staff kindly showed us around, which was a nice touch and gave us a look at what the inn offers. The new owner has clearly invested in a full renovation. The pub feels fresh and thoughtfully updated while keeping its historic Dartmoor character. It was warm and relaxing, with a cosy enclosed log fire, and there's a games room with a pool table for a laid-back evening. The accommodation we saw was high standard, luxurious but cosy, with modern en-suites and an elegant feel. The food and drinks were top-notch, and the staff were attentive and genuinely friendly throughout. It's dog-friendly too, which is great for people exploring Dartmoor with their pets. If you're in the Postbridge area, it's a must-visit, or a great place to stay.

The main bar is huge, with loads of seating and a fireplace lit in winter, just right after a hike around Belliver. It's an old-style pub, with tea rooms as well, and has rooms for hikers and holidaymakers. The food is fantastic and the staff are welcoming. Dogs are welcome too.

We arrived at very short notice and stayed for three nights, but the staff were friendly and welcoming at every turn, doing everything they could for us. They also catered for our dietary needs. The rooms were immaculate, with comfy beds, a warm shower and Freeview TV, and the included breakfast was delicious. The inn has a comfortable feel, especially with the lovely warm fire in the bar. Prices were very reasonable, and staff gave us information about local services and tourist attractions on the moors and in the surrounding areas.

The rooms were lovely, and the breakfast was fantastic. I spent two nights here while doing a training course on the moors. Everyone was incredibly friendly and accommodating, and I'd definitely stay again.

There’s a very good range of local beers and ciders, and a large garden round the back. Our experience was soured when, on a very hot day, we were initially refused tap water, even though we were a large group buying drinks.
