Noise was a big problem here. The walls were very thin, and sounds from the bathroom, which was far from the room but shared a wall with the bedroom, came through clearly. Noise started downstairs around 7:30 in the morning too. There were two heaters, but neither was on and I couldn't get them working, so the room was freezing and hard to sleep in. The bed creaked and wobbled whenever I moved, the mattress seemed old, and the bedding didn't feel clean. There were three very smelly cushions on the bed. I don't think the housekeeper is really cleaning. The toiletries were also very basic: three tiny 20ml bottles, each with only about an eighth of the shampoo left. The stay didn't meet expectations, and I definitely won't return. I don't know why they advertise it as delux.

We were left outside in the rain for hours because the caretaker, Dave, forgot to send the lockbox code for our key. We were on a long bike trip and had asked for a ground-floor room, but got no response and were assigned a room up a narrow flight of stairs. It felt like an investor had bought a building, added lockboxes and called it a hotel. With no hospitality experience and nobody available to help when things go wrong, the whole experience was horrible.

Once the landlord from the pub sorted out our keys, everything was fine. The apartment was nice and right by everything we needed, though it was tricky to find. Breakfast delivered to the apartment on Sunday morning was a real treat, and the food was great.

The owners were very helpful and knowledgeable, thanks Pamela! The place was very clean, with modern decor and a private entrance in the centre of preston. There are two first-floor rooms that share a toilet and bathroom, which has a very deep bath. The top-floor apartment has its own kitchen, as shown in the site photos, and both first-floor rooms have a fridge. There are stairs to all the rooms, with automatic lighting.

The welcome was much appreciated, and the room felt so homely. Having a full English brought to the apartment was lovely. I couldn't recommend this overnight stay highly enough!
