The Ribchester Arms

We hadn't planned a visit, but the pub looked inviting when we were passing through the area. They welcomed us warmly after we checked that dogs could come inside. The bar lady and the rest of the staff were so pleasant. The food was amazing, especially the Black Pudding starter and what might be the best poached egg ever. No photos, you'll have to order it to see for yourself. Thanks for the warm welcome and great food!

The staff were the real highlight, very friendly and a credit to the Robinson group, both behind the bar and serving tables. We had a nice room at The Ribchester Arms, though it was a little dark. The shower was good and the bed was comfortable.

We enjoyed our Sunday lunch so much that we’ve booked to come back on Boxing Day. It was busy, but there was plenty of parking, and since we’d booked, we were shown straight to our table. The man at the front of house was lovely, and the waiting staff were efficient and very pleasant. We didn’t have to wait long for our delicious roast beef and roast pork dinners. Both were nicely presented and generous portions. Well done, Ribchester Arms!

I keep coming back to meet friends. The raised seating area above the bar feels cosy and has a great atmosphere. There’s a good choice of drinks, including Robinson's cask ales, and the service is always friendly. I’m especially glad there’s a full vegan menu. The Vish and chips is my usual pick, and the food is always really good. Such a cosy pub.
