Riverside Barn

Breakfast was a real highlight: a hamper with freshly made croissants and other treats arrived in our room, and we baked them in the little oven. Everything was delicious and freshly made. My partner and I were at Riverside Barn for a weekend while attending friends' wedding, and stayed in a deluxe room. The views and scenery were stunning, and inside there was a beautiful four-poster bed and an incredible roll-top bath. We can't wait to come back and try another room. Thanks for a perfect stay. After four visits, we've decided this will be our last. We used to love staying at Riverside barn, but the standards seem to have slipped. The room is still lovely, though after five years it's showing wear. The pole for opening the bathroom skylight has gone, and a broken bed slat made for an uncomfortable night's sleep. We'd asked for breakfast the next morning, but nothing arrived and nobody contacted us. Sorry guys, we're going to look elsewhere from now on.

The Ribble suite was beautiful, even better than the photos, and the owners' extra touches were a lovely surprise. The owner was friendly and helpful, and the surrounding area was very pretty. We stayed one night and would be glad to return.

Scones and sandwiches were waiting for us when we arrived, which was a lovely touch. The room was lovely and had a nice big bathtub. We paid £15 for the breakfast hamper, and everything in it was delicious.
