Jason Karl led our guided tour, and his knowledge and passion for the property really drew us in. The house has a fascinating history and is still so well cared for. At £5, the tour was incredible value. We also enjoyed a nice coffee and cake in the cafe. ☕️ 🎂

Our wedding at Samlesbury Hall on Valentine's Day 2026 gave us a whole weekend of memories we'll always treasure. The night before, I stayed in the Gatehouse with my youngest daughters, which made getting ready much easier. We made smores around my best friend's camp fire while she and her partner stayed in one of the huts. I got ready with my bridal party in the Gatehouse that morning. The day itself was beautiful. We had the ceremony in the chapel, the Whittaker Room, then drinks and canapés at the reception, followed by our three-course wedding breakfast in the Great Hall. The hospitality was faultless, especially Naomi's, and the food was amazing. Even both chefs complimented it, one of them being my husband. The Hall's history and stunning setting made it perfect for the day and for the gorgeous photos by our photographer Kyle Mac, who also got lots of compliments. Reality Disco were amazing, and had everyone dancing. Most people forgot the evening food had arrived: wood-fired pizza served with our wedding cake. The Great Hall had been transformed for dancing and fun. Anthony looked after us so well that evening, and walked our guests back to the Shepherds Huts and us to the Gatehouse when the night was over. We honestly couldn't have asked for a better day and evening. Samlesbury Hall will always be special to us.

The wedding team were supportive as we planned, answered our questions, and were flexible and open to our ideas. On the day, everything ran smoothly, and several guests said it was one of the smoothest weddings they'd been to. The food was excellent, and the shepherd huts on site worked well for our guests. We married at Samlesbury Hall in March 2026. We'd viewed three venues that day, and this one stood out. We liked its long history and that it's more than just a wedding venue, so we can visit in future. Both the interior and exterior offered great spaces, and we felt sure we were in good hands.

Paul was an enthusiastic, informative guide and a great representative for beautiful Samlesbury Hall. After the tour, we had a nice coffee and cake in the welcoming tearoom. We visited as a couple from Lancaster on 29th March '26 and had booked the tour. On arrival, we and the other people on the tour weren't sure where to check in for the tokens. We wandered around for several minutes before finding the right entry point, so clearer signs might help. Still, an excellent visit, highly recommended. Gill & Steve Prowse (Lancaster).
