Trivelles Park Hotel

I booked a room and paid £78.04, not the advertised £52, and then couldn’t get in because the doors were shut. I rang both numbers on the door, and they went to the same person, who said no and hung up. I spoke to Mel from custom support, who I’d booked with, and they also told me it was non-refundable before hanging up. I was left out on the street tonight with my bags. I’ve reported it to the bank for fraud. I’d tell anyone to avoid this place at all costs. I had to give one star because zero wasn’t an option.

I ended up leaving without the rest I urgently needed, and I’ve formally reported the matter. I’d strongly advise people not to book here. I’d booked after a night shift because I needed a few hours to rest before my next shift. I called several times before and after booking to ask about early check-in, but got conflicting answers. First they said they couldn’t find my booking. Then I was told a room would be ready in five minutes. After I’d already turned back and missed my transport, they called again and said I’d have to wait until 1 p.m. The communication was confusing, unreliable and dishonest. The whole experience felt misleading and highly unprofessional.

The shower could be stronger, but otherwise it was a great stay. The staff were great, there’s parking on site, the beds are comfy and the rooms are a decent size.

The rooms could use a bit of TLC, but the front desk service was fantastic. The receptionist was extremely welcoming, and I can only praise the customer service there.
